Peshawar, University of Engineering and Technology UET had new education system with support of Washington Accord for the students of graduation level to get jobs and internships in international market in country abroad without giving any type of test.
Prof Qaiser Ali, University vice chancellor said, with the new education system, which is the need of society, university will get reports of graduates by employers about their performance and success in the market.
University had join had with Washington Accord recently, he said.
Prof Sahar Noor University VC said, UET was the only institute which not complete its online semester successfully but also save the students from coronavirus pandemic.
Online admission for new session will be completed soon, he said.
Prof Qaiser said, university is now planning for the entrance test for the intelligent students as intermediate marks were given on promote policy which can dispute poor and intelligent student’s admission.
Computer app named as, Enterprise Resource Planning has working start, which will be used for paperless working, and to the formation of the student facilitations center will be next milestone for the students under one roof, he said.
He further said, Earthquake Engineering Center established by the university is on number four facility center in the world, has recently get a project by Nepal to design and develop shock resistance schools.
University is also establishing the Financial Management Cell to resolve the monetary issues and certify the flat functioning of affairs.
Our total present budget is Rs. 2 billion, from which Rs. 850 million received by Higher Education Commission HEC and remaining we have collected by self-finance schemes, he said.
We have more than 200 PhD which will be utilize by our government in future, VC said.
We are planning to launch health insurance scheme for the university employers to cut down the medical bills, he also said.
