Islamabad: On Wednesday the education minister Shafqat Mehmood said , A nationwide literacy campaign will be inaugurated soon to boost up literacy rate at least by 12% by The Ministry of Education and Professional Training.
Addressing to the high level delegation of Ufone here on Wednesday he said, soon we will visit cabinet in a couple of week for concept clearance and subsidize as we are considering about to announce an education emergency.
The Ufone delegation informed the minister about the activities and organization of Ufone mainly and the techniques of Etisalat and Ufone in Literacy Sector particularly.
Education is the utmost priority of current government, the minister said.
He said, the main objective of our government is to bring a uniform education system and curriculum, furnishing quality education and skill development in the country and to fetch the 25 million out of school children to schools.
The National Literacy Drive would be our ample program as we are going to establish almost 5000 youth literary and skill centres in each district of Pakistan a novelty of syllabus will be designed for the uniform education and a national literacy coordination centre will be established, said the minister.

The minister said, during the implementation of the literacy campaign a special awareness campaign would be also activated”.
He said technology would be helpful to increase the aforesaid four targets in the National Literacy Drive. He extended Ufone must play a vital role to boost up the literacy standard with interventions and technological solution these efforts of Ufone can be utilized in National Literacy Campaign.
The delegation of Ufone admired the initiatives of Education Ministry and the vision of Federal Education Minister and agreed cope with technological solutions in the next forum.
