How to Get a Scholarship in France

My today’s article is about the scholarship in France as previously I have written on various types of international scholarships awarded to brilliant and needy students.

It is true that not living cost but also the study cost in France is expensive despite this France has emerged on the map of the world as an exuberant study spot for the international students.

In France, all government educational sectors charge a very low fee as compare to the private sector of education. The government of France furnishes a good number of French scholarships to international students, but the living amounts are highly expensive for the students. Outstanding applicants are lucky enough to achieve the chance to receive a fully funded scholarship which covers living expense, residency as well as medical facilities.

  Eiffel Excellence Scholarships

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established The Eiffel Scholarship program to charm the genius international students for postgraduate and doctoral degree programs. The objective of this program is to enhance the performance of higher education institute. Knowledge sharing of various cultures and traditions is also the objective of this scholarship program.

  Ile-de-France Masters Scholarships

The international students who seeks continuing with their higher education are awarded with the special scholarship by the IIe-de-France Region. The scholarship is offered to those aspirants who are desirous to get enrolled in Master degree program at the University of Paris. The important thing to be noted is the age limit. The age of the candidate must not be above 30 years. While the maximum age limit for PhD’s is 35 years.

University-Specific Scholarships in France for International Students

  Ecole Normale Superieure International Selection

Every year, almost thirty outstanding brilliant students are selected for the scholarships to pursue their further study both in humanities or Science at ENS. ENS awards scholarships to the thirty selected students and offers a monthly stipend of almost 1.000 Euros for 2 to 3 years. The process of the student’s selection is accomplished by an organized ENS procession.

  Ampere Scholarships of Excellence at ENS de Lyon

The ENS de Lyon and its partners also provide, annually, scholarships for the brilliant international scholars to enrol in its Postgraduate degree programs in the Exact Sciences, Arts as well as Humanities and Social Sciences (apart from Professional Masters in teaching) from the Ampere Scholarships of Excellence.

France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies Collaborative Projects in France and USA, 2019-20

The France-Stanford Center is providing Collaborative Research Projects for French and USA researchers to do research academically at French and at US institutions for the year 2019-2020.

 The main objective of The France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies is to bridge the disciplines of the humanities, social sciences, sciences, engineering, business and law, addressing historical and contemporary issues of significance for France and the United States from a broad range of perspectives.

At least 10 brilliant students from Pakistan are selected for the scholarship in France by the collaboration of the Ministry of Education in France and the government of Pakistan.

Pakistani students offered Eiffel scholarship in France

The details of the Eiffel scholarship programme for the Pakistani students who are interested in higher education in France has been listed by the French embassy in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs is aiding the scholarship programme to allow French higher education institutions attract the best foreign students in diploma courses at Masters’ and PhD level.

 Eiffel scholarships cover the four major fields of study such as economics and management, engineering sciences and law/political sciences at Masters’ level; sciences in the broad sense, economics and management, and law/political sciences for the Doctorate/PhD level

 36 months. There are also PhD programmes of 10-month mobility as part of a joint supervision or joint direction of thesis (preferably the 2nd year of the PhD).

The monthly stipend granted by the Eiffel scholarship programme does not cover the tuition fee but it only covers the cost of living.

 The French host institutions forwards the applications to enrol the grantees in the programme for which they are selected. The programme is absolutely for foreign applicants.

Application forms are now available online to submit at Campus France with the deadline on January 11, 2019. Results will be declared in March 2019.
