The new policy of giving disparity allowance to the teachers and employees of public universities has been implemented. The disparity allowance has been made conditional on the funds available with the universities.
According to the report, universities will not receive disparity allowance from June 1, 2021. The Department of Higher Education has issued orders to the Vice Chancellors of all government universities in Punjab, including Lahore.
Direction to the Vice Chancellors of Government Universities to submit cases for approval of Disparity Allowance. On the other hand, university teachers rejected the new policy of disparity allowance.
