Govt refuses fake new about closure of educational institutes from October 15

Shafqat Mahmood Federal Minister of Education refuse the fake news about closing of educational institutes which goes viral on social media, they clear it that there is no truth that all the educational institutes are closing from October 15.

He tweet on his official twitter account that “Fake news being circulated on social media that educational institutions will be closed on Oct 15. No truth in this.”

Murad Raas Punjab Education Minister also added in the statement of Shafqat Mahmood that news regarding closing of school from 15 October is totally wrong.

He also tweet “Public and Private Schools of Punjab to remain open as scheduled. Schools closing on October 15th is completely FALSE. Please strictly follow SOPs.”

The statements are seen after when there is a raise in corona virus cases particularly in Sindh province, causing fear of a second wave.
There were total 644 cases were reported on Monday according to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), total cases are 315,260. If compared this to our neighbor country India then the ratio of daily cases is very low.

All the educational institutes are being opened last month after approval from NCOC.

On September 29, Federal Minister said that 171,436 coronavirus tests were takes in various educational institutes from they opened on September 15, but only 1,248 test were positive.

Only 1% infection of virus has been seen in the educational institutes, he added.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan also give the statement that may be second wave of virus come in winter season, so people are advised to wear mask and in public places for protection.

He also twitted “Compared to some other states, Allah has been kind to us in Pakistan and spared us the worst effects of Covid-19.”
