Consideration is being given to providing free transport facilities to school children in the Orange Train. The Orange Train can be used by the children to drop them off at school and back home.
According to sources, in the first phase, two lakh children will be issued travel passes. The Orange Train administration will soon hold a meeting with the leaders of various schools. The meeting will consider suggestions made by school leaders. According to the best suggestions, children will be provided transportation facilities in future.
Serving Schools Association President Mian Raza-ur-Rehman said that the decision to issue concessional passes for children to travel on the Orange Train is welcome. Raza-ur-Rehman further said that free travel facilities for school children on the Orange Train would also reduce the congestion of vehicles in the city.
