A lot of people every year visit United Kingdom (UK) for the purpose of tourism, study, work or immigration. But all of such people have to first go through a rigorous process of application screening in which English Language Test is a must. The world’s leading UK based education publishing and assessment organization Pearson conducts an English Language Test which has been approved by UK’s Home Office. This test is generally used for most of the residents of Pakistan who wish to go for study, work, tour and immigration purpose. The testing service was at halt during the outbreak of covid-19, however, the test has been relaunched again as the economies start to open up.
Relaunching ceremony was held online keeping in mind the SOPs of corona virus by UK’s Home Office and UK’s embassy in Pakistan. Some of the key people attending the online ceremony was British Deputy High Commissioner for Pakistan, Deputy Director of International Trade Department, British High Commissioner, President of Pearson Institute, Country Head of Pearson in Pakistan, MD Pearson in South Asia and Senior Vice President of English Assessment in Pakistan. High Commissioner said that relaunching and starting of this test will facilitate all individuals from Pakistan who wish to fly to UK for their required purpose. The test will be conducted online for couple of months to come with centers to start their operations in Lahore and Islamabad. After assessing situation in upcoming months, the test and centers will start operating in other major cities of Pakistan including the city of lights, Karachi.
