BISE Rawalpindi is among the third generation of the educational establishments in the country. The first bifurcations into a multi-billionaire board, BISE Lahore were made in 1960s and 1970s, later on, the newly established boards were also bifurcated in 1980s, 1990s and lastly, as recent as of 2012. Out of these newly established boards, one was BISE Sargodha in 1970s’. The board was bifurcated in 1988 which gave birth to BISE Rawalpindi. There are very few boards working on bringing automation into its systems, hence, it has attained the status of one of the modernized educational boards. The board currently provides all the applicants with an application tracking system for all sorts of requests put up to BISE Rawalpindi. The decisions are taken independently as it is an autonomous body guided by its Board of Governors (BOGs). All the meetings of BOGs are headed by Chairman of BISE Rawalpindi. The board was among the first ones to introduce an innovation based system of control rooms. The exams of Inter are usually concluded in the month of June but the tables have turned around due to the emergence of corona virus on a global scale. There is a certain movement in a positive direction by all the provincial boards. The Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) has been dedicated as one sole forum for making the official decision related to conduct of examinations. The invitations have been sent to all the Chairmen of provincial boards including AJK and GB too. An online meeting is scheduled among the boards within the current week so that an official statement could be delivered. The students are looking towards their respective boards so that they can plan accordingly as well. There is a possible speculation that the exams might be rescheduled in the month of July.
All the educational boards are looking to conduct exams in the month of June but it depends on the current situation of deadly virus in the country. The possible opportunity that arises for all the boards is in the month of July. Although, there are high possibilities that if the examination is conducted in the month of July then results can be announced in the month of either September or October. The agenda of the meeting is to develop a joint action so that moving forward can be done smoothly. The official agreement of all the provincial boards shall be declared by IBCC within two weeks of time. Once the decision is made official, all the updates will be posted on our website.
