BISE Quetta conducts exams for 10th class during the month of either April or May respectively. The annual exams for 2022 were planned in the same manner as conducted previously, however, once the exams are ended, students are anxious to know about their results. BISE Quetta was established in 1976 under the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance. The board has gained the status of being an autonomous body in the region. It is one of the most professional boards in the country as it doesn’t rely on any funding or grant from the government rather it manages all expenses on its own. BISE Quetta is fully empowered with required administrative and financial authority for organizing, regulating, developing and controlling intermediate and matriculation education for all the public and private sector institutes within its jurisdictions. The primary objective and responsibility of the board is to conduct a fair and transparent examination within the areas of its jurisdiction. BISE Quetta is the sole body in the province, therefore, it provides scholarship opportunities for students of entire Balochistan as well.

The diplomas managed by the board are Diploma in Associate Engineering, Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Commerce and Diploma in various other languages. BISE Quetta has one of the largest jurisdictions in the country as it includes all the institutions over entire Balochistan except the institutions located in cantonment.
