BISE Peshawar is one of the largest educational boards in the country. It would not be wrong to say that it is the provincial capital of all the educational boards of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The students are usually observing examination season during this time of the year. However, the situation has been transformed pertaining to the situation of lockdown caused by the deadly virus. BISE Peshawar 11th Class Date Sheet 2020
BISE Peshawar was formulated in 1961 as it was the first educational boards in the country after BISE Lahore. The responsibilities of secondary and higher secondary education were undertaken by University of Peshawar since its establishment in 1950s’ till 1961. The first educational commission was set up in 1958 which gave the idea of establishing more educational boards. BISE Peshawar reorganized the examination system within the province. At that time, it was the only educational board in the province, therefore, it had its jurisdiction over the areas of entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and all of the tribal areas. KP was also titled as Northern Western Frontier Province (NWFP) at that time. Due to tremendous increase in the overall educational setup, BISE Peshawar established its camp offices at Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan).
The number of students and educational boards kept on increasing which gave birth to more educational boards. Later on, BISE Peshawar was bifurcated into three new boards as BISE Abbottabad, BISE Bannu and BISE Swat. All these three boards are working since 1990. Further bifurcations resulted in creation of BISE Mardan and BISE Kohat. The current jurisdictions of BISE Peshawar include Peshawar, Khyber, Charsadda, Shabqadar, Mohmand and Chitral. The board is working efficiently over last 50 years with conducting matriculation and intermediate exams on annual basis. BISE Peshawar is an autonomous body and doesn’t take any sort of grant or budget from neither the provincial nor federal government. The expenses are managed on their own from the fees collected through various services. BISE Peshawar is among one of the few boards that have activated their online system for maximum student facilitation during the spread of deadly virus.

BISE Peshawar is the leader in KP Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and therefore, all the other boards in KP look towards BISE Peshawar. The recommendations were recently asked from all the boards of KP as Chairman of KP Board is scheduled to attend an online meeting regarding the decision on the conduct of exams. The online meeting will be based on deciding whether to conduct exams or to postpone them further. Both the decisions will have its due consequences as in the case of conducting exams, there will be a need to formulate SOPs for conducting exams. On the other end, if exams are postponed then an important implication will be to decide the future of students.
The decisions made in the meeting will be announced under the banner of Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). It is a joint body of all provincial educational boards and all the Chairmen are member of the board. IBCC will discuss all the matters at length and will announce the revised schedule in the coming week. Sources say that there are high chances of a major change in the conduct of exams, may it be the change in paper pattern or grading structure, the time will tell better truth.
