The 11th class examination is one of the most important exam in the country as it is the introductory step in intermediate. All the provincial educational boards conduct the 11th class examination on annual basis followed by matric and supplementary exams. BISE Multan conducts exams on annual basis as directed by Punjab Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. This year, BISE Multan had planned to conduct the exams based on BISE Multan Board 11th class date sheet 2020. However, the date sheet is facing a delay owing to the current situation in the country. Not only Pakistan but the entire globe is at a standalone position, nevertheless, BISE Multan is constantly trying to motivate the monitoring bodies for exploring possible opportunities of conducting examination.

BISE Multan 11th Class Date Sheet 2020
BISE Multan is one of the first offshoots of BISE Lahore as it was formulated in early 1970s’ under the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1968. Currently, it is managed under Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976. It was the first board made in the region of South Punjab as earlier to that, it was administered by BISE Lahore. The board itself passed a period of transition as it was bifurcated in 1980s’. At the time of emergence of BISE Multan, the areas of Multan, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Kalat and DG Khan were under its jurisdictions. BISE Multan is an independent body and is not dependent on any grant or aid from the government.
The bifurcations were made later on in which BISE Bahawalpur and BISE DG Khan were formulated by the authorities. BISE Multan currently has its jurisdictions over the areas of Multan, Lodhran, Vehari and Khanewal. The board currently works under the structure of its Board of Governors (BOGs), it has 15 different members including Chairman and Secretary of BISE Multan. The major function of the board includes the conduct of exams. Various departments of the board include Examination, Estate, Stores, Finance, Registration and Affiliations and Verification. The board has separate Controller of Examinations for Matriculation and Intermediate. Examination department of the board is further divided into sub-departments of Secrecy, Tabulation, Conduct and Confidential.

The date sheet was delayed but BISE Multan has advocated the fact to Punjab Board to conduct examinations as soon as possible. The examination decision is to be made in a week or two regarding the conduct of exams. The forum dedicated to decide on such a decision is Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). It is a joint body of all the educational boards of all provinces including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP along with Azad Kashmir and Gilgit – Baltistan. An online meeting is being scheduled between all the Chairmen of provincial educational boards. The meeting will be headed by Dr. Shahzad Jiva, he is the Chairman of Agha Khan Board. Some of the highly key decisions will be undertaken with a mutual agreement of all the provincial boards.
The key discussions included in the agenda of meeting are the conduct of exams, when to conduct, where to conduct, shall it be postponed further, what will be the strategy if postponement needed, paper pattern and lastly, the schedule of conduct. Sources declare that all the boards are looking to conduct the examination in the month of July. The first window is being searched in the month of June, however, it doesn’t seem possible, hence, the month of July is being looked as an opportunity by all the boards. There are certain talks of changing paper pattern and the grading structure for students but all remain a speculation until it is made official. The final verdict of the meeting will be made public within this week so that all the educational boards and provincial governments can make needed arrangements.
