BISE Mardan is the responsible board for conducting exams in its jurisdictions. The board every year conducts exams for 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades respectively. One of the critical exams is 11th class exams as it is the entry level exam at the start of intermediate education. BISE Mardan was one of the initial educational establishments after BISE Peshawar. The bifurcations made in BISE Peshawar in 1990s’ resulted in creation of many boards including BISE Mardan. The board was formulated under Northern Western Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1990 which was later made an act. This act was later transformed into KP Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act. The name of the act was changed after 18th amendment made into the constitution in 2010. BISE Mardan is an autonomous body which has its own funds and budget as it doesn’t rely on any fund or grants from the government. The board is empowered with administrative and financial authority for organizing, regulating, developing and controlling the intermediate and secondary education within its jurisdiction.
The primary objective of BISE Mardan is to conduct examinations of matric, inter and other cultural languages of the country. The board is led by an expert academician, Muhammad Imtiaz Ayub. BISE Mardan is committed to provide an enlightened education to its students with focusing on fair examination system in the country. It is one of the few boards in the country that amid the virus are still providing their services to the students. BISE Mardan has launched online services for its students as the board is providing all the available services through their official website and mobile applications too. The current jurisdictions of BISE Mardan are three different districts including Swabi, Nowshera and Mardan. The major responsibilities of the board include smooth conduct of examination at secondary and higher secondary levels, issuance of NOCs and certificates to the passing students with lastly, inspecting institutions and approving their registrations with the board.

IBCC is a joint body of all provincial educational boards and is dedicated to bring mutual consensus on key issues. The name of committee is Inter Board Committee of Chairmen and is known as IBCC. The meeting is scheduled using an online platform and the final decision shall be taken by mutual agreement between all the Chairmen of provincial boards. The decision will require decision at length, therefore, IBCC will publicize the decision in next week so that all provincial governments and educational bodies can prepare accordingly.
