Among the first byproducts of BISE Lahore was BISE Gujranwala. Being one of the close cities to Lahore was Gujranwala and therefore, the creation of separate board was questioned by many. However, the educational authorities were of the view that formulation of board was essential so that workload can be managed. Gujranwala was a highly populated region since its inception but the educational environment was ever evolving. Currently, Gujranwala is one of the big cities in Punjab as it hosts millions of people with thousands of students. The board took its first breathe in 1982 with official notification being publicized in 1983. BISE Gujranwala’s informal establishment took place even six years ago in 1976. The board kept on operating from its first camp office within the building of BISE Lahore.
BISE Gujranwala conducted its first exam in 1983 and it was the same year in which the complete operations of board were shifted to its home city. Gujranwala’s board has hundreds of institutes associated with it, therefore, the pressure is increasing with every passing day regarding the conduct of exams. The current jurisdictions of the board covers Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahuudin, Hafizabad and Narowal. BISE Gujranwala has its operations divided into various functional departments categorized as sections. The main sections of BISE Gujranwala are Academics, Estate, Stores, Administration, Registration and Litigation, Examinations and Audit. The board performs various functions including the conduct of exams, issuance of NOCs, issuance of result cards and certificates, dealing with requests of students, rechecking requests, migration issues of the students, providing scholarship opportunities for its students and lastly, arranging sports activities for the students.
Gujranwala Board 12th Class Date Sheet 2020
Discussing the matter of date sheet 2020, BISE Gujranwala had forwarded their suggestions to Punjab Board as it were demanded from all the educational boards. This was done in response to an online meeting scheduled between the Chairmen of all educational boards. The meeting has already been conducted and discussions have taken place. This meeting was conducted using an online medium which was headed by Chairmen of Aga Khan Board, Dr. Shahzad Jiva. He said that one of the three decisions had to be finalized in the meeting. Firstly, the revised schedule for the conduct of exams, secondly, the postponement of exam for further duration and lastly, cancellation of exams.
All these decisions were to be made by the mutual agreement of the Chairmen of all provincial educational boards. One of the implicit agendas of the meeting was to decide on a joint strategy of future. However, the meeting has been conducted and recommendations are finalized. The decision made in the meeting is not publicized yet as it is yet to be approved from the Federal Ministry of Education. There was certain news circulating around regarding the conduct and opening up of schools in June, 2020. Such news is yet to be certified by the Education Ministry, hence, our website will notify the general public as soon as the official statement is released by the authorities.
