Intermediate is one of the most important educational level in the life of students. The successful passing of intermediate means that one can be enrolled into any of the leading universities across the world. This is the last standardized examination in the country. The journey of intermediate starts with 11th class as it is the first step of many large steps to be taken in one’s life. The students of 11th class usually appear for examination in the month of June every year, however, the situation has differed in 2020. BISE Gujranwala 11th Class Date Sheet 2020
BISE Gujranwala were among the first byproducts of BISE Lahore. The formulation of new educational board with such low proximity was not bought in by many. However, the authorities were still able to establish the board as per the need of the hour. The students and educational institutes were not huge at the time of inception of BISE Lahore. With the passage of time, regions like Gujranwala progressed and became as one of the big cities of Pakistan by late 1970s’. BISE Gujranwala was made operational in 1976 but the jurisdictions were not transferred until 1982. Until then the jurisdictions and areas were managed by BISE Lahore. Nevertheless, a notification was made in 1983 which caused bifurcation in BISE Lahore with the formal operations of BISE Gujranwala to start. An initial camp office was established within the building of BISE Lahore for a period of six years.
Later on, BISE Gujranwala was shifted to its home city Gujranwala in 1983 and that was the same year in which the first examination under BISE Gujranwala was conducted. The current building of BISE Gujranwala is in its use since 1983 and has been renovated once. The demographics of Gujranwala were highly populated in 1947 too but with the evolving nature of education, the formulation of BISE Gujranwala was made thirty years later. The main aim of BISE Gujranwala is to improve the educational environment of the region by bringing in standardization and transparency for all the students. The areas of its jurisdictions are Gujrat, Mandi Bahuudin, Hafizabad, Narowal and Gujranwala. The main departments of the board are Administration, Estate, Academics, Stores, Registration and Litigation, Examinations and Audit.

Coming back to the date sheet of Class 11th, it has been delayed due to the lockdown situation in the country. However, the efforts of few active boards like BISE Gujranwala have yielded positive results. All the Chairmen of provincial boards have been called by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) to discuss the possible opportunities of managing the examinations. IBCC is a joint educational body represented by all the other educational boards. It is a forum where joint decisions are taken and all the boards abide by the recommendations of IBCC. This time around, an online meeting headed by Dr. Shahzad, Chairman of Agha Khan Board will decide on key issues, such as, the conduct of exam, if the conduct is possible then when and where, if examinations are unable to be conducted then what are the possible solutions.
All the above mentioned points are included in the agenda of meeting. The final decision of all the boards will be communicated to the required educational boards and provincial governments. This is done in order to give a preparation time to all along with informing the key stakeholders of the current agreement among all the educational boards. There are speculations that examinations might be scheduled in the month of July with the results to be announced in the month of September. Due to losing of an important time, there are possibilities of examination pattern being changed or grading system will witness a change for the first time.
