The eleven rigorous years of study results in the examination of 11th class. Intermediate level is the second most important examination in Pakistan. Firstly, students appear for Matriculation after ten years of study. Later on, 11th class is the initial level of intermediate examination. The exams season usually begins in the month of March and ends in the first week of June. However, the situation across the world is changed and entire globe is at halt. BISE Faisalabad is among one of the largest educational boards not only in the province but in the country. BISE Faisalabad was a side-shoot of BISE Sargodha as earlier it was managed by it. Earlier to that, BISE Sargodha was managed by BISE Lahore until 1970s’, when for the first time bifurcations were made into the existing system. BISE Faisalabad was originated in 1980s’. The current jurisdictions of BISE Faisalabad cover the districts of Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, and Toba Tek Singh. The board is administered under Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1978. The board took its first breath in 1988 and conducted its first examination in 1989.
BISE Faisalabad’s first office was established in the building of BISE Sargodha. The office was named as camp office of BISE Faisalabad, on the later stages, BISE Faisalabad moved into its home city in 1989. Board is currently led by Dr. Tayybah Shaheen as Chairperson of BISE Faisalabad. The board is not dependent on any fund or grant from neither provincial nor federal government. The major source of income for the board is collection of registration fees and other charges in lieu of various function of the board. The board is currently conducting exams, announcing results, issuing NOCs, result cards and certificates. In addition to that, BISE Faisalabad provides the data of students to the government, approves and withdraws the affiliation of institutes, arrange scholarships for the students and entertain the requests of students.

Talking of the date sheet 2020 for 11th class, BISE Faisalabad along with all the other educational boards had successfully paved the way towards a better future. All the provincial boards will be sitting in a meeting within this week regarding the announcement of examinations conduct. The meeting will be managed by Inter Board Committee for Chairmen (IBCC) as it includes Chairmen of all the provincial boards including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP. The Chairmen of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit – Baltistan Boards will also take part in it. The meeting is going to be headed by Dr. Shahzad Jiva and he is currently Chairman of Agha Khan Board.
The primary objective of the meeting is to decide on the schedule of exams. The two possible options under consideration are; to conduct the exams as per availability and approval of decision, secondly, further postponement of exams. This key decision is included as the top priority in the agenda of that meeting. By following all the protocols laid by the government, meeting will be conducted using an online platform. There are high possibilities of conducting the examination within the month of July with results to be announced in the month of September. The decision will be made in the better interest of students with mutual consensus of all the provincial boards.
