Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) is one of the famous cities of KP province. It has preserved a rich history of culture and traditions of the local people. BISE DI Khan is fairly a young educational board and conducts examination on annual basis based on date sheets released by the joint agreement of the boards in KP. At present, BISE DI Khan Board 11th Class Date Sheet 2020 is being suspended for an indefinite period due to the current lockdown situation in the country. However, BISE DI Khan is in mutual coordination with all the other educational boards of KP for announcing the revised schedule of examination. The pressure is overwhelming as students and institutes look upon to the board for the announcement of examination schedule. BISE DI Khan 11th Class Date Sheet 2020
BISE DI Khan emerged onto the scene as one of the last bifurcations in KP Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. It was earlier controlled by BISE Bannu but in 2006, the board was bifurcated and BISE DI Khan was formulated. The current building of the board is located on the River Road in DI Khan. The board was controlled under NWFP Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1990, whereas, currently, it is administered under KP Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act. The name of act was changed since the long awaited name of NWFP was changed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The act provides complete guidelines for the boards to carry out their functions efficiently and professionally. The board is an independent body and doesn’t take any funding or grant from the provincial government.
The current jurisdictions of BISE DI Khan cover the districts of Dera Ismail Khan and its FATA regions, district of Tank and its FATA regions, and lastly, South Waziristan. The currently enrolled students in the board are approximately 75,000 with the educational environment on a constant rise. The 11th class examination were suspended but the other exams suspended were 9th and 12th class as well. However, the 10th class exams were completed successfully but practical papers are still remaining. BISE DI Khan has made it public on their website regarding no such official information from the board itself but few of the officials of the board have declared that revised schedule of examination is about to be released by the end of holy month. Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) is a joint forum of all provincial educational boards and has sent invitations to all the Chairmen of provincial boards for an online meeting.
The purpose of meeting is to decide on the conduct of exams, the possible date of exams is expected to be in the month of July. The situation is dependent on the assessment of COVID – 19 and its impact across the country. The meeting will also discuss the challenges of the boards, such as, practicing social distancing in the centers can be extremely difficult. The change in paper pattern and grading structure will also be discussed as a plan for cancellation and further postponement is also in the view of IBCC.
