The exams for matriculation and intermediate is conducted in the months of March and May respectively. Likewise, BISE AJK conducts these two most important exams in the country on annual basis. For the year of 2020, BISE AJK Board 11th class date sheet 2020 was unable to execute owing to the situation of COVID – 19 across the country. The decision was taken unanimously by all the provincial educational boards of the country including AJK. These were the best precautionary measures in the better interest of general public at large. However, 11th class examination is of critical nature as it decides the promotion from 11th to 12th class, hence, the boards are now actively advocating for announcement of revised schedule. BISE AJK is of no different view either as the board plans to announce the revised schedule for the conduct of intermediate exams of 2020.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) was established in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in the year 1973. The educational management in the area needed an immediate action and therefore, government announced the formulation of board under the ordinance related to the establishment of boards. BISE AJK was born to manage all the educational affairs and conduct examinations for matriculation and intermediate classes. BISE AJK manages the workload of all the institutes affiliated with the board within the areas of its jurisdictions. The current jurisdictions of the board include the areas of Mirpur, Poonch, Kotli, Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Neelum and Bhimber. The main aim of the board is to conduct free and fair examinations for all the territories included in BISE AJK.
There are thousands of students as hundreds of students are affiliated with BISE AJK. The number of educational institutes have increased in the region with every passing year and therefore, the presence of BISE AJK is highly critical. The board of AJK works independently as its Chairman reports all the matters to Ministry of Education rather than any other provincial board. Nevertheless, BISE AJK is self-reliant as it is not dependent on any funds from the federal government. The expenses are managed through the collection of fees and other service charges by the board in lieu of the board services for its students. Board is currently located in the city of Mirpur. The board conducts exams on annual basis in which numerous private and regular candidates register themselves. Some of the large districts are included in the jurisdiction of AJK Board, hence, the numbers of students and institutes associated with the board are numerous. AJK Board is considered to be one of the important boards and is facilitated by all other boards for its development and efficiency. The board has carried its operations successfully over last five decades and continues to aspire students for pursuing their educational activities. However, the AJK board has received thousands of queries regarding the conduct of exams. This pressure has been increasing over the past few months. It is now the time when AJK board has to announce the revised schedule of examination so that students can understand the current scenario.
In regards to same point, AJK Board has been called for an online meeting so that the final decision regarding the conduct of examination can be reached. Not only AJK Board but Chairmen of all provincial educational boards have also been called up for an online meeting. Agenda of meeting has already been shared with all the participants. The meeting will be headed by Dr. Shahzad Jiva, Chairman of Aga Khan Board. He told the media that final decision shall be reached with mutual consensus of all the participants. The key stakeholders including provincial governments and all educational boards in the country will be notified in the coming week.
