Under the auspices of Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, the annual matriculation examination will begin on May 10, with more than 2.5 lakh students appearing for the examination.
During the annual matriculation examinations under the Lahore Board, the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer will review the security arrangements at the examination centers and will also visit the centers. The report of the visit will be sent daily to the Secretary Higher Education.
Inspection teams will also review the security and other administrative matters in the examination centers. Section 144 will be enforced in all the examination centers. Unauthorized persons will be barred from entering the centers. 759 examination centers have been set up across Lahore.
On the other hand, Karachi Matriculation Board has announced the date of annual examinations for Class X. According to the matriculation board, the first paper of class X will be on May 17. The full schedule of examinations will be released next week. Arrangements are being made to make the examinations foolproof.
According to the spokesperson, papers for all subjects will be taken this year, 40% MCQs, 40% short and 20% long question and answer sheets.
