Islamabad: The admissions at Allama Iqbal Open University are to begin. According to the press release the admissions will start from 1st February 2019.
The spring session admissions are open from Matriculation level to Ph.D. level. Allama Iqbal Open University is to arrange programs for teacher development and training as well. However, the university aims to provide education in all the near and distant areas of Pakistan.
The Vice-Chancellor of AIOU Zia Ul Qayyum stressed the role of the university in promoting education. Moreover, he shared the prime focus of the institution is the improvement in the quality of education and betterment and development of the content. In addition, he asserted that technology and innovation are to be used in the delivery system of the institution. The University is to create smarter and efficient ways to deliver content to the students.
Allama Iqbal Open University is the largest distance education provider of Pakistan. In accordance with the current statistics, the university is providing education to over 1.4 million people. The institute also works for the women empowerment and its motive is to increase the literacy rate and ratio of the female students from all around Pakistan.
