There are three main groups, opted by the students of the 9th class.

Total marks vary according to the group being selected by the student but collectively total marks of both 9th and 10th are 1100. This change in total marks of 9th class is due to practical exams that are held in 10th class collectively for 9th and 10th. If a student selects an arts group with no practical subject then his or her total marks or 9th class would be 550. Students need to gain a minimum of 33 % marks in every subject to pass the exams.
