One of the business tycoon of Pakistan, Malik Riaz has recently announced an educational scholarship opportunity for 25 intellectuals across the country. As per the announcement and sources, 25 PhD scholarships will be given by Malik Riaz and his organization Bahria Town under the name of Rukhsana Memorial Trust (RMT). Malik Riaz had made a philanthropic organization with the name of RMT and is involved in charitable tasks since last few years.
RMT was named after the mother of tycoon, scholarship opportunities will be provided for the students undertaking PhD program in Science and Technology. Scholastic opportunities will be provided across various universities around the world but majorly from the countries of US, Europe, Australia, China and Japan. Scholarships will also include tickets for the students.
Furthermore, the announcement stated that RMT will give precedence to top 5 universities of Pakistan including NED Karachi, UET Lahore, Punjab University, Peshawar University and QAU Islamabad. These 5 universities will be revised every year based on the ranking of HEC. Those students who will qualify for the RMT scholarships will be bound to serve the government for at least 5 years after their degree has been completed.
